As we move further into the 21st century, there is going to be more requirement for health insurance to meet the needs of people aged 50 and above as it is projected that this part of the population will be larger than any other by the time it is 2050.
This means that by the time it is 2050, there will be less labor supply in the market and a need for health insurance needs since this is the part of the population that has a lot of health needs than any other. The government will have to face increased spending among people in this age group, because of their pensions needs as well. Their demands on the UK benefits system will be more than the demand of any other age group.
This issue has to be addressed immediately before the government is unable to deal with it in the years to come and the current pension reduction for people working in the government sector is seen as one of these changes. People are not happy with this fact and the public sector employees are planning to put up a defense of their rights to enjoy retirement.
